• Efficient Clean Combustion Technology and New Materials

 

Porous media combustion technology is an effective way to improve gas combustion efficiency, reduce pollutant emissions and achieve clean utilization of low-calorific g gaseous fuels. The team conducts the following research on porous media combustion technology: development and preparation of composite foam ceramics; flame propagation mechanism in porous media; control technology of porous media combustion pollutants; development of porous media burners and combustion systems. The team has hosted and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and enterprise projects, and 15 invention patents has been authorized in the field. At present, the first generation of the porous media burners has been applied to Baosteel and other steel mills, while the second generation product is in pilot test.
