China-Russia Refractory Online Academic Conference

On June 17, an online academic conference on "Current Application Trends of Nanomaterials in Refractory Materials" was held. The conference was hosted by the Russian "Magnezit" group. The Wuhan University of Science and Technology, the Russian National University of Science and Technology (NUST MISIS) and the "RUSNANO" Group Infrastructure and Education Project Foundation participated in the organization. The conference invited more than 50 international refractory experts to participate in the conference, and the entire process was broadcast live on YouTube online.

Professor Li Yawei gave a report entitled "Application of Nano Carbon in Refractories and Characterization of Fracture Performance". Highlighted the research results of the team in recent years in nano-carbon structure evolution, mechanical properties and fracture behavior evaluation of carbon-containing refractories.

Dmitriy BORZOV, the head of the R&D department of the Russian "Magnezit" Group, believes that this academic conference has promoted the technical exchange of refractory materials between China and Russia, which laid the foundation for the next step of the substantive cooperation in international projects of production, education and research, and expressed in-depth exchanges with our school in the future expect.
